Join printmaking artist Kim Morski to explore pattern, shape, and color through the timeless craft of block printing on fabric. In this hands-on class, you will carve and print your own unique design on an organic cotton tea towel.

Kim will demonstrate how to design, carve, and print a linoleum block on fabric. We will discuss how to make a dynamic design with simple shapes and a limited color palette.

The class fee includes all the supplies for the workshop, as well as light refreshments. We will be printing with beautiful eco-friendly inks from textile designer Molly Mahon from the UK. You will also get to go home with:

• Your own linoleum carving tool

• An extra linoleum block

• An extra organic cotton tea towel

For this workshop, I am especially excited to partner with Molly Hamilton of Rise Design. Molly will introduce us to her work with textile artisans in India, where they produce stunning, hand block printed apparel and home textiles. After the class you can take more time to shop Rise Design’s selection of handmade clothing, quilts, kitchen linens and more.

This workshop is for ages 12+. Anyone under 18 must be joined by an adult who is also registered to participate in the class. No experience necessary.
