In 2023, I was introduced to a movement and prayer practice called Unearthed. I was excited to reintroduce some movement into my life, after having three children, but I was totally unprepared for the deep encounter I had with the Trinity, healing the wounded places of my heart. After the class I wept (yes, it was ugly crying). Through movement, contemplative readings, and prayer, this experience opened me to an embodied process of forgiveness, opening me back up to a sense wonder.

Needless to say… I was so excited when KC Ledgerwood, the creator of the Unearthed practice, invited me to make an original print for her first parent + child Unearthed class. I made the print of the Good Shepherd, inspired by the Orthodox icon, with children in mind. I wanted the piece to speak to us as the lambs of God, as well as Christ, held in the arms of His Good Father.
