“American Industry (Scientist” is part of a series of prints and carved objects titled Not Wittingly. In this body of work, I explore themes of willful deception and complicit action in covert military projects. Researching for this project, I was particularly struck by the way “ordinary” people were involved with very sinister projects without their knowing due to planned compartmentalization within miliatry, scientific, and educational organizations.
